The Mayvin Consulting Group, Inc. has a future requirement for a Project Officer to support a high visibility Department of Defense organization.  The Project Officer will provide the acquisition directorate within the organization with expertise and support in the selection and procurement of materiel solutions that satisfy immediate warfighter operational needs.  The level of effort required for each project can encompass significant coordination with ASA(ALT), Army Staff, TRADOC, and Program Executive Offices, to keep projects moving forward.  The complexity level of each project can range from integrating the project in a system of systems approach requiring a dedicated sustainment structure to procuring standalone devices.  In broad terms, responsibilities involve keeping a program within budget, on schedule, ensuring performance of the end product meets desired criteria, and ensuring the system to be fielded is logistically supportable.

Key Duties:
  • The individual must understand complex issues, processes, and organizations
  • Program initiation, justification, and validation
  • Cost analysis and estimation, program financial management; providing planning, programming, and budgeting system support to acquisition program and appropriate appropriation sponsors.
  • System development program management; systems engineering management
  • Test and evaluation management
  • Integrated logistics support management; life-cycle system support management and program technical data and documentation management
  • Manpower and training systems management
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and least 24 semester credit hours (or the equivalent) of study in any of the following disciplines: accounting, business finance, law contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, and organization and management.
  • 5 years of related experience in DoD Acquistion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent quantitative and analytic skills
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
