The Mayvin Consulting Group, Inc. has a requirement for an Operations Officer to support a high visibility Department of Defense organization.  The organization provides critical capabilities for lethality, command and control, situational awareness and survivability/force protection into operationally committed units.  The consultant will be primarily responsible for direct liaison between forward-deployed personnel and rear elements located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Key Duties:
  • Actively manage a geographically-based portfolio of up to 40 projects throughout each project's lifecycle
  • Synchronize and incorporate training, shipping, sustainment, and assessment plans for each project into a Theater Deployment Plan to ensure timely and purposeful delivery
  • Monitor and support the development, production, and testing of approved materiel solutions based on current and emerging technologies
  • Communicate requirement and project status and significant activities to the organization's leadership through recurring synchronization meetings, written reports, and database updates
  • Maintain awareness of U.S. Army operations and policy to facilitate organizational mission, goals, and objectives
  • Coordinate activities and information with Army Staff, Major Commands, DOD agencies, and deployable units
  • Inspect warehoused equipment, and prepare shipping documents to ensure immediate deployment
  • Gather and review assessment data on delivered projects and provide operational input to support project disposition decisions
  • Conduct operational support for short-notice taskers as appropriate to include gathering product information; tracking down requirements documents; creating requirement approval worksheets, etc.
  • Serve as a liaison to outside agencies as appropriate for operations related project tasks
  • Publish written reports, presentations, and white papers to organizational leadership
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, systems management, engineering, mathematics or scientific related field or in business administration.
