The Mayvin Consulting Group, Inc. has a future requirement for an Acquisition Support Specialist to support a high visibility Department of Defense organization.  The organization provides critical capabilities for lethality, command and control, situational awareness and survivability/force protection into operationally committed units.  The Acquisition Support Specialist will assist in keeping programs within budget, on schedule, ensuring performance of the end product meets desired criteria, and ensuring the system to be fielded is logistically supportable.

Key Duties:
  • Provide expert assistance and advice to the organization as it relates to the research, development and acquisition of materiel solutions in support of projects/initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative understanding and relationships with Army and other Services Program Executive Officers/Project Managers (PEO/PM), Research and Development (R&D) Laboratories private industry, and other potential stakeholders and Partners to facilitate rapid materiel solution identification to include use of Government Off-the-Shelf and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (GOTS/COTS), modified COTS/GOTS efforts, and developmental solutions for projects/initiatives.
  • Assist in determining project scope and deliverables, and execute all project acquisition activities in accordance with cost, schedule, and performance objectives
  • Maintain all required information for assigned projects in a database
  • Expertise in planning for a spiral development in order to identify and provide decision criteria for conducting further spirals within the organization or for spiral to the PEO/PMs for the Army at large
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and least 24 semester credit hours (or the equivalent) of study in any of the following disciplines: accounting, business finance, law contracts, purchasing,
  • Five years of related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent quantitative and analytic skills
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
