The Mayvin Consulting Group, Inc. has a requirement for a senior defense acquisition advisor to support a high visibility Department of Defense organization.  The organization provides critical capabilities for lethality, command and control, situational awareness and survivability/force protection into operationally committed units.  This will be a highly visible job that may involve coordination with the VCSA, the Military Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology and other senior General Officers.  The Consultant will work daily at the Colonel/GS-15 and General Officer/SES level to accomplish complex and time sensitive taskings and to report project status.

Key Duties:
  • Monitor personnel in the mission analysis, acquisition and deployment of material capabilities to support the organization's operations
  • Review quality of work for all assigned personnel and ensure all actions are completed in a timely fashion and in compliance with federal acquisition regulations
  • Coordinate activities and lines of communication in regards to organizational interaction with the Army Program Executive Officers
  • Exercise broadly delegated authority for planning, coordinating, administering, and executing of assigned projects
  • Develop guidance and operational schedule for division and facilitate routine meetings to promote open lines of communication
  • Represent the client at high level meetings on project issues where policy or programs are discussed. Meetings may include: General Officers, SES civilians, and representatives from academia and/or industry.
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (systems management, engineering, mathematics or scientific related field, or in business administration.)
  • 15 years of related experience in DoD Contracting
  • Ability to lead complex projects that require original thinking and new approaches
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
